As a child, Jared spent hours bringing his action figures to life on the pool table of his childhood home near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His bright young mind and fertile imagination didn't go unnoticed; his parents bought him a cheap camera. Jared had his first taste of filmmaking at a very young age; he was seven. He comissioned his childhood friends nearly every weekend of his youth to help fuel his newfound passion. Time flew by in school, as he was perpetually focused on his next production. When he was ten years old, Jared's father unwittingly shaped his son's destiny by taking him to the movies. The epic scope of Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” was just the inspiration that he needed to decide that he would devote his life to directing film.
Around nine years later, Jared received scholarships for his talents and enrolled in the Cinema and Digital Arts program at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. He's held an internship at News Corp. in New York City and has multiple awards for his work. His film “A Matter of Time” was accepted into the official selection of NFFTY 2013, the world’s largest film festival for young and talented directors. Jared has had the opportuntity to work on several major motion pictures, including "I am Number Four," "Abduction," and "Super 8." His most recent film, “This Modern Love” was included in the Hoboken International Film Festival 2014 along with a number of other festivals.
Jared is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
